Cargo and Logistics Management began as Freight on Board Pty Ltd in 1982, with our head office located in Sydney (NSW) . We further expanded our influence with branches established in Auckland (NZ)  , Melbourne (VIC) , Brisbane (QLD)   , Perth (WA) & Adelaide (SA) respectively.  Orginally the emphasis was keenly focused on developing the Australian and New Zealand Trans Tasman market.

Once this trade market was established we extended into the exciting arena of global freight and logistics management. And today we provide professional transportation, sourcing and information services around the world, while being strongly supported by our long standing client partnerships.

However, the growth and direction of the company and our industry as a whole was not truly reflective of our company name. So in 2001 the decision was made to change the name to which we believe more accurately expresses who we are and what we do. Striving always to meet and exceed our customers’ needs by offering a professional and friendly service that is absolutely committed to in all aspects of freight management . CALM opened up our Melbourne and Auckland offices in 2002 & 2003 in order to maintain its loyal customer base by leveraging the collective knowledge and performance of each and every employee in the CALM Group dedicated to Customer Satisfaction.

Being a provider of Supply Chain Solutions, our core competencies are Freight Forwarding, Transport Services and Warehouse & Logistics Management.  We at CALM take pride in offering a professional and personal service, with streamlined processes that have been implemented to improve  the supply chain for our existing and potential customers.

In 2005 CALM extended its brand and influence into Asia with CALM Malaysia Sdn Bhd established as a freight-forwarding and data processing centre. Cargo and Logistics Management Pty Ltd is set up to offer a "professional and complete service solution" building a effective service brand by integrating the warehousing, logistics, freight activities on a national and international stage.

In building an effective service brand CALM, dares to be different in redefining the service process by improving productivity and performance. Thus reducing cost and dead time between stages in the logistics process. In doing this activity it has lead to the creation of an alternative operating method where the Cargo And Logistics Management Group offers a " One Stop Shop" service solution by focusing on our core compentencies which is the cornerstone for success and is our platform for growth.
